  1. About The Easter Eggs

I have spent many hours of my own time searching for these easter eggs in many computer systems.  The problem is that I have sucked up almost all, if not all, of the eggs on my Macintosh, and have dried out the internet's static supply.  My primary sources are the readers, you.  Now I need your help to get more easter eggs and add to this list.

  4. There is no shareware fee, the only thing I ask in return is an easter egg that I don't have.  So, if you find one please send me a letter.  In fact, I challenge you to find any easter egg that I don't already have.

  6. New Easter Eggs or Questions?
  7. If you have any more easter eggs (read the instructions below), the answers to my questions; know of any other internet sites where I can obtain more info.; or have any questions, please send a message to ixist@aol.com.

  9. If you send me an easter egg that I do not already have, I will print your name and e-mail address underneath the egg you provided unless otherwise specified.  The mailing list has been removed.  It's too hard to keep it up.  Sorry.

  11. Sending Me Easter Eggs!
  12. I have had a lot of problems in the past where people would send me an easter egg that is very sketchy with very little details or an egg that I already have.  The majority of the eggs I could not find myself because they did not apply to my Mac.  Then I would have to reply by asking questions.  This took a lot of my time which also annoyed the sender.

  14. The solution (this will make it easier for you too):

  16. Before you send...
  17. Check and double-check that the egg is not in this file.  Secondly, make sure it is made by Apple Computer.  To check, select the file, go the File Menu and Get Info. on it.  It is made by Apple Computer if it says "¬© Apple Computer, Inc." under "Version:".  There are exceptions to this rule so use your best judgement.

  19. Things I need to know include...
  20. 1. Version numbers (for both your system and the application with the egg)
  21. 2. How to access the egg from the start-up of your computer with step-by-step instructions.  I can delete any excess information later.
  22. 3. What kind of Mac you have, and your full name.  
  23. 4. A screen shot (Command-Shift-3) of the easter egg would also be great. Please compress it first.  
  24. 5. It would also be great if you told me what version of this file you have (this is version 1.5).
  25. 6. Finally, you need to check your mail a day or two after you send the egg just in case I have any further questions.  I will always reply to messages.  Thanks.

  28. My easter eggs have been put on many CDs throughout the world, mentioned in E-zines and chats, the Maclopedia, and all major Macintosh magazines. Tyhe file has reached places such as Sweden, France, Germany, Italy, Costa Rica (Central America), Indonesia, New Zealand, and Australia.

If anyone decides to use my easter eggs for any reason at all, I ask that you tell me where to find it.  Please don't pass it off as your own work; mention my name, e-mail address, and web site.  If this file is published on a disk, CD-ROM please inform me.  That also includes publishing eggs in any public publication.  I usually don‚Äôt care if it is done; I just like to know where this list is going. Thanks.

  34. Lastly, I have to add that I am not liable for anything that goes wrong while trying these eggs.  The most severe result I have ever experienced was having my screen freeze after using MacsBug.  Try the eggs at your own risk.
